Middle school GPA basics
Middle schools that report a GPA usually use the unweighted 4.0 scale. Enter each subject and a credit of 1 if classes are equally weighted.
Letter-to-GPA points
| Letter | Points |
|---|---|
| A | 4.0 |
| A- | 3.7 |
| B+ | 3.3 |
| B | 3.0 |
| C | 2.0 |
| D | 1.0 |
| F | 0.0 |
Worked example
Two 3-credit courses at A (4.0) and B (3.0) plus a 4-credit course at A- (3.7): points = 4.0×3 + 3.0×3 + 3.7×4 = 35.8 over 10 credits = 3.58 GPA.
